Description: I was sitting on my suitcase in the Port-au-Prince airport at four in the morning on my way home from a commercial shoot and vacation on Tortuga. It could have been a Humphrey Bogart movie - hot and humid, ceiling fans, the smell of flowers and over ripe bananas. A few mean looking guys in fatigues stood nearby smoking cigarettes, sub-machine guns slung over their shoulders. A young couple sat down beside me. The conversation came around to what I did for a living. I don't usually admit that I'm in the business because of the stereotypes people have about "film people," but I told them that I was currently reinventing myself as an adult filmmaker. I was ready for the usual reaction, eyes avert and a distant, "Oh, that's interesting." Exit. But Anna became very excited. She told me that she had only seen one "sex movie" but she had liked it and would I please consider letting them be in one of mine? I hemmed and hawed for about two seconds and then said, "Okay." I quickly added that I'd really have to have a look at them naked before I decided. Anna suggested we find a place at the airport where I could look at them since it was still two hours before the plane left. We searched around and found a secluded bench in the garden of the restaurant that adjoined the shabby airport. It was still dark, but there wasn't anybody around to see us anyway. I don't think this couple understood that all I needed was to see them naked because they immediately stripped and started making love in front of me.
